At this point you can not change, the new tab. But if you change Google.ca homepage (when you go to Options>> Basic Tab>> Text Box) side, you can open the possibility of chromium Google.ca when you begin to examine first, then each tab that is opened , press Alt + Home, and take on the home page.
This allows you to tab, press Alt + Home Open and you're in Google.ca.
I believe that the new tab that is sought for a future version of Chrome can change. Hopefully the implementation. Note that Chrome still beta and they work and improve.
